Richard Wolf
Managing Principal
Richard Wolf specializes in the beverage alcohol and allied industries as consultant and international broker of bulk bourbon. He is an Advisory Board Member of the American Distilling Institute, whiskey judge for the American Distilling Institute and American Craft Spirits Association, a faculty member of Moonshine University, served as Chairman of the Kentucky Distillers’ Association and is a proud Kentucky Colonel.
As the former VP General Manager at Sazerac Co. (Buffalo Trace Distillery), a 150 year old, distilled spirits producer/importer, he was responsible for organizational transformation, strategic sourcing, and corporate development, which facilitated and contributed to a seven-fold growth in revenue in six years. As VP Operations for Cott Beverage, he opened a regional office in Dallas, led several acquisitions and re-engineered a $600 million business unit.
After serving four years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Field Artillery Officer, Wolf’s beverage industry career began with PepsiCo, where he held various management positions of increasing responsibility in their mega-manufacturing facility in Los Angeles, California.
Wolf’s 30 years experience in the beverage industry has been broad and varied, to include mergers & acquisitions, business development, national account management, lean process re-engineering, supply chain optimization, new product development, systems implementation, green-field plant construction and union contract negotiation.
Wolf holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Cardinal Newman College, St. Louis, Missouri and an M.B.A from National University, San Diego, California.
